Tagalog Translation
Tagalog, the linguistic heart of Filipino.
Tagalog is a major Philippine language with deep roots in Central Luzon and the surrounding regions. It forms the principal linguistic foundation of Filipino while remaining a living language in its own right. Etranslation provides Tagalog translation, localization, interpretation and multilingual services.
Tagalog is the foundation, but Filipino keeps evolving.
Tagalog is an Austronesian language traditionally associated with Central Luzon and Metro Manila and surrounding areas. It is the primary linguistic basis of the Philippines’ national language, Filipino.
Modern Tagalog has absorbed vocabulary from Spanish and English while retaining a grammatical structure characteristic of Philippine Austronesian languages.
For localization, the distinction between Tagalog and Filipino matters. A project aimed specifically at Tagalog-speaking communities may require different terminology, tone or regional choices from a nationwide Filipino campaign.
Tagalog language profile
Tagalog uses the Latin alphabet today and has a rich verbal system in which focus and grammatical relationships are expressed through specialized forms.

Tagalog has words with surprisingly deep structures.
“Kumusta?” means “How are you?” or “Hello,” while “Salamat” means “thank you.”
Tagalog verbs can encode relationships between an action and the people, objects or circumstances involved. This makes apparently simple English sentences sometimes require a more structurally nuanced Tagalog expression.
Tagalog also contains many Spanish loanwords, including everyday vocabulary that has become completely naturalized in Philippine speech.
